Being Thankful
Psalm 100
We shall soon celebrate Thanksgiving. So, let us consider Psalm 100. A Psalm of thanksgiving.
First, we are to "Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands." We are told to shout joyfully to the Lord. The goodness of God should cause us to shout with joy. (v.1)
Secondly, we are to "serve the Lord with gladness." Serving the Lord is an expression of thanksgiving. (v.2)
Thirdly, We are to come into His presence with singing. (v.2)
As we shout, sing and serve, we should thankfully acknowledge God's sovereignty. "Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture." (v.3)
I hope you have a "Happy Thanksgiving."
